About Afra Label

Afra Label Body Fit Garments are made of a unique High Grade Rayon Viscose Spandex material.

Rayon was the first manufactured material dating back to 1664 and was originally called artificial silk until the textile industry renamed it Rayon.  Unlike most man-made fibres, rayon is not synthetic.  It is made of wood pulp, a natural raw material like cotton and linen (not a petroleum-based synthetic fibre such as nylon or polyester).

Viscose Rayon has superb drape and feel and is moisture absorbent (more than cotton).  It absorbs perspiration and allows it to evaporate away from the skin, making it an excellent summer fabric and has thermal protection during the winter.  It’s high absorbency applies equally to dyes, allowing beautiful, deep, rich colours in the Body Fit material.

It does not build up static electricity, nor will it pill like other fabrics.

Body Fit by Afra is made in over 300 designs from singlets to evening dresses for summer and winter in over 70 beautiful colours.  Made in five sizes, extra small to extra large.
